The E2000
has only a few configuration items however it can radically
change the way in which the subsystems work.
The E2000
contains two subsystems, generically called System 1 (left
hand side) and System 2 (right hand side).
Each subsystem can operate autonomously or in combination to
operate in cold/warm standby or a switching system where
each system operates on one channel. The sub-systems can
also be configured to provide a single system with
redundancy.
The diagram below
describes the rack assembly for the two subsystems and how
they connect to the real world.
The
following diagram functionally describes the systems in an autonomous
configuration. Each system operates completely independently
of each other.
The
following diagram shows the same diagram in a concise format
for the rest of the document. Note that there are 4 serial
ports per system.
In the
autonomous configuration each system has its own audio
output. In a combined system the audio is summed and sent
out System 1 audio output as shown below.
In a
combined system the audio is summed and therefore
handshaking between the systems is critical so that either
system does corrupt the other on the audio output.
The
following diagram shows the same diagram in a concise format
for the rest of the document. Note that there is only one
audio output.
The
systems at this point generate paging data on a single
channel and are capable of receiving TNPP packets from 4
ports on each system.
This is the generic
and most basic form of the E2000 system. It can be
configured to provide additional features and facilities.
