MTELPage 2016 is a medium
upgrade to MTELPage 2015.
It has
improved Auxiliary Acknowledgement presentation, changes to Booked and
Periodical Booked messages. Finally there is a new
Assistance button on the Select Client Screen.
Auxiliary Acknowledgement
Auxiliary Acknowledgement is now a separate window as shown below. This
allows the user to see auxiliary responses and still use MTELPage.
MTELPage can be minimised separately to the auxiliary acknowledgement
screen. The left boxes are the active turnouts and the box on the right
is a log of all updates.
Auxiliary Acknowledgement is shown in separate text boxes on the left as
shown below for Port Douglas and Esk below. There is an entry of each turnout
that is active. In the case below Esk and Pt Douglas are current
turnouts. The right hand box is a log of the responses. The log is
stored in the message log files so that if MTELPage is closed and restarted the
log is loaded back in.
For the Pt Douglas Aux entry, the number of available responses is five
as shown by [y] 5 and the number of
unavailable responses is two [n] 2.
In
addition to the simple counts of the responses, the actual responders
names are presented by clicking on the text box of the turnout. The
names are shown below where the green indication is the yes responders
and red are the no responders.
Booked Messages
Booked Messages has been changed to remove the calendar. Microsoft no
longer supports this control.
The new booked message time uses a simple drop down date time picker as
shown below.
Periodical Booked Messages
Periodical Booked Messages has been changed for the same reason. It
looks similar to to booked Date Time selector above. The operation of
the periodical booked remains the same.
New
Assistance Button
The Assistance button was introduced to
send very quickly a fixed message to a fixed group of people. At this
point in time it is meant to provide assistance to Comms Centre staff.
The button looks for a group called
AssistanceComms and it then populates the group into message
entry. This means a predetermined message can be sent to a predetermined
group with just 2 clicks, the Assistance
button and the Send button.
The AssistanceComms group can be any normally grouped devices currently
in MTELPage. Simply use the database editor to create the group.
New
MTEL Info Window
The
MTEL Info window supplements current email information from MTEL on
running conditions in the WBB Gateway. The information is intended to
give immediate advice of a problem. The messages are automatically
generated and are normally limited to one per hour in fault condition.
If the condition is restored then a message is sent immediately.
The example below indicate that Buderim picocell is back on line. The
pico must have been off line for more than one hour to get this message.
It has a green banner indicating that the site is OK.
If
the message banner is purple it is a warning such as the message below
where Buderim has been off line for more than one hour. The second
message indicates the the site has lost mains power. In both cases there
is a problem however MTEL will be aware of it so Comms centre does not
need to report the error. The information is forward information that
there is a problem.
When the problem is resolved a green banner message is sent to indicate
the problem is fixed.
If
the message banner is red it is a major outage of more than one site.
Again Comms Centre do not have to report this it is automatically
generated by the Gateway and it has alerted MTEL of the problem. A
brief description of the problem will be shown.
