Overview

MTELPage 2017 Released March 30th 2017

It is a small upgrade to MTELPage 2016.

  • It has improved Auxiliary Acknowledgement presentation. (available for QFES only)

  • Changes to open file connections

  • Bug fix for Turnout Box (available for QFES only)

  • Upgrade for mtelmess.mdb (available for QFES only)

  • Fixed Periodical and Booked calendar defaults to the current year.

  • Fixed Enter problem when nothing is in the Client text box.

USRAck Settings

MTELPage now has two additional menu items, Paging and USRAck. USRAck is simply short for User Acknowledgement.

Selecting the Set Default for either sets MTELPage to start up in either the Paging Screen or the USRAck screen.

The USRAck has an additional sub-menu item, Set AutoShow.

If this is ticked the USRAck screen will appear every time an update arrives for the USRAck system.

Except if the user is sending a message.

If Set USRAck is unticked the USRAck is only displayed when the user choses to view it.

i.e. it is completely manual and the user must select the display to view it.

Auxiliary Acknowledgement

Auxiliary Acknowledgement is now a separate frame inside MTELPage.

The separate window in 2016 was not user friendly for some Comms centres so it has been removed.

The new interface provides a larger display of information and history back at least 7 days.

The rank and distance to the station are now added to each responder. If the distance is unknown it is displayed with a question mark [?m]. Distances larger than 9999 metres are displayed as [>10k].

When a turnout is active the banner changes colour as shown below.

Open File Connections

The "picocell pstn data.mdb" is now closed after all transactions. This will assist in reducing problems from interrupted network outages affecting connections to this file.

Turnout box

In previous version the Turnout box was not cleared after being selected in a turnout. This affected the next turnout.

It is now cleared every time the Enter Client frame is rebuilt.

Upgrade to mtelmess.mdb

MTELPage Client C99 is now responsible for delivering all booked messages, backing up and now the User Acknowledgement summaries are created as well. The summaries are created at the completion of each turnout period. The summaries are then available for all MTELPage users through the mtelmess.mdb history file.

Since C99 client now performs vital functions, it also sends watchdog information to the MTEL servers to verify normal operation. MTEL will be advised automatically if the C99 client is closed or has failed.
