The key parts of the WBB system are MTELPage,
MTELServe, MTELQue, MTELRelay, MDS, MTELGateway, WBB Telstra network and WBB enabled picocell. The diagram
below shows the components and how the message can flow between the
elements.
Note there is more than one path due to the design
built in redundancy. The dark full line is the primary path. The dotted
lines are two alternate lines.
MTELPage automatically selects the correct path
depending on availability. If the primary path is not functional it selects
the alternate path. This will increase the time to deliver the message
however MTELPage will indicate that the alternate path has been taken.
MTELPage will also indicate the success or failure
sending the message.
The previous system of sending email ACK and EOT
messages has been replaced by this system.
