MTEL PC2095 POCSAG Simulcast Paging Encoder
The POCSAG Encoder is a commercial grade paging encoder with simulcast capability. It is designed to operate in a simulcast environment, however it can also be used in a single site system where the transmitter is located hundreds of meters from the encoder and paging servers. The encoder employs very sophisticated on the fly encoding to maximise message efficiency and the ability to insert priority messages. The TCP inputs are buffered for each baud rate. There are 100 buffers available which can be allocated to different baud rates and priority. The analog outputs can be routed to any PC2095 Simulcast Transmitter Controller on any analogue physical layer which maintains audio integrity of the modem tones. The modem is capable of operating down to 50useconds of jitter at -30dbm. The PC2095 contains functionality to assist installation and testing of simulcast systems. The unique MTEL transmitter control system provides the ability to permit any combination of transmitters to operate on a batch basis. (see tables below) This is particularly useful in identifying which site has coverage in any given fixed location.
